We are looking for a Localization Vendor Manager (VM) whose primary focus will be sourcing new freelance translators to join our existing talented pool, with special focus on EMEA and Americas language combinations.

The VM will report to the Global Resource Manager and will also support with resource coordination tasks, managing and improving the freelance pool and assigning the most appropriate translation resources to all Keywords projects.

You can work from our office in Teresópolis, or work fully remotely anywhere in Brazil.

Main responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate recruitment channels to source the most suitable translators for the EMEA and Americas gaming localization projects.
  • Promote communication initiatives to attract new talents (social media, job fairs, university/school relationship).
  • Screen and evaluate candidate CVs, collect expertise background, manage entry tests, negotiate rates, and profile new talents.
  • Run market analysis and provide informed recommendations.
  • Liaise with Production, project resourcing and quality evaluation teams in order to anticipate needs, mitigate risks, manage emergencies.
  • Provide the Project Management teams with resources best qualified for the nature of each project and within the allocated budget.
  • Maintain the resource pool database up to date (availability, areas of expertise, quality status).
  • Actively work on learning strengths and weakness for the allocated language resources; build relationship with new resources.
  • Liaise with all external resources to continually improve the quality and responsiveness of their service delivery to the Company.
  • In cooperation with all team members of the Resource Management team, contribute to develop and implement new processes and/or products with external resources, in order to increase efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Higher education in translation or language related studies.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in vendor management within the translation industry.
  • Previous resource management or multilanguage coordination experience will be a plus.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and at least one other language.
  • Excellent communication skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of the videogame industry.
  • Previous experience in working with remote management and remote teams highly desirable.
