As a Site Reliability Engineer joining our growing Data Science team, you will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams.
Responsibilities for Site Reliability Engineer
- Create tools to automate manual processes.
- Build and mantain continuous integration pipelines. Analyse and suggest improvements to standardize environments.
- Help the team in the adoption of a DevOps culture.
- Create automations using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Puppet and Jenkins.
- Track cloud costs and suggest actions to optimize it.
- Work with Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers and Data Engineers to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
Requirements
- BSc, MSc and/or PhD degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, CS or other related subjects.
- Knowledge of DevOps culture and agile development.
- Experience with CI/CD, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet and Jenkins.
- Experience with workflow scheduling platforms, such as Airflow.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and big data platform and frameworks (Amazon EMR, Hadoop, Spark).
- Experience with programming languages that support automation, such as Shell, Bash and Python.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows operational systems.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and related tools (Kops, Prometheus, Kubeflow).
- Knowledge of messaging systems, such as RabbitMQ and Kafka.
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra.
- Experience working with logs, monitoring systems and related tools, such as Graylog and Grafana.
- Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
- Knowledege of microservice architectures.
