The Job

We are looking to grow our team of Technical Support Specialists that will help us provide enterprise-level support to our customers. Within your daily tasks, you will diagnose and troubleshoot problems reported by our customers, report and find code workarounds to defects of our application and deliver code optimization projects to our enterprise clients.

This position can be fully remote and it comes with a good level of flexibility, however, as we are a global team that wants to offer extended support to customers all over the world, we are looking for this position to fill the 2 PM - 10 PM UTC timeframe. You will be communicating with our clients via emails, or in prescheduled Google Meet calls in case of more complex situations that require nuanced instructions.

To be qualified for this role, you will need to be proficient in frontend languages and also have a good working experience with PHP and Laravel, as some of our projects involve optimizing or creating new coding solutions for our customers' pages or developing new tools for our Support team.

With this position, you will get the opportunity to improve your coding skills and find creative solutions for the required features.

Requirements

  • Proficient in coding languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery and 2+ years experience as a front-end developer
  • Previous working experience and in-depth knowledge of PHP and Laravel
  • Experience using browser developer tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English
  • Ability to self-manage and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
  • Great interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to work well within teams and be a reliable team member
  • Previous work experience with WordPress is a plus


Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems reported by our customers
  • Go on Google Meet calls with our customers to better understand the root of the problem by asking targeted questions
  • Properly escalate bug reports to engineering, via Jira, and offer workarounds while waiting for a resolution
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
  • Optimize or create new solutions for the codes added to our clients' pages
  • Analyze the HTML structure of both our old and new rendering engines and develop coding solutions that will help with the transition
  • Test landing pages using common browsers such as Google Chrome, Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and debug, as necessary, by using the browser developer tools
  • Research and create new tools to help our Customer Support team assist our customers
