What do we expect from our Product Owner of Payments?

Deep understanding of the main pains and problems of our clients mainly related to the management of payments in orders. Prioritize them and let them happen.

As Product Owner, you will work on defining the vision of the product, understanding in depth the main problems of our clients in order to build a roadmap that adapts to the needs of Nuvemshop users. Also, you will work together with the team of designers and developers in the execution and launch of new functionalities and changes in the product.

Responsibilities:

  • Deep integration: Partners should be able to develop deep integrations with Nuvemshop to allow our merchants to work with unlimited Payment providers.
  • Deep understand problems of our clients talking and having direct contact with them weekly.
  • Build, develop and transmit the mission of the domain (Payments) to the team.
  • Make sure your team is clearly aware of the problem they are solving.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the domain in which you work. Know your product in depth, your customers, the competition and understand how all this relates to our mission as a company.
  • Create and develop the team roadmap and co-lead the entire process, from the understanding of the problem to be solved to the execution and launch of the feature.
  • Work together with your team to design solutions of excellence that address problems, ensuring that they are always working on the projects with the greatest impact.
  • Define a clear scope and refine it with the team as many times as necessary, making sure to solve the problems in the setted time.
  • Evaluate if implemented solutions solve real customer problems, measuring them quantitatively and qualitatively.
  • Be responsible, together with design and tech managers, for building a high-performance team.

Essentials:

  • Have at least 2 years of working in digital product management using agile methodologies.
  • Read and write in English.
  • Have previous experience in roadmaps building. Not only the planning, but also deciding which problems have to be worked on.
  • Have the skills to convey difficult concepts easily. We value people who can communicate in a clear and orderly way.
  • Be able to make justified product decisions.
  • Think both creatively and analytically and be able to convey the line of reasoning in an orderly manner.
  • Have good judgment to distinguish what is urgent from what is important, and what is not. We want to work with people who can say no and are aware of the importance of prioritizing.
  • Make decisions based on facts and not on assumptions.
  • Research and stay updated of product trends and methodologies.
  • Have a technology background.


Plusses:

  • Have knowledge about usability and user experience.
  • Have experience in entrepreneurship and / or electronic commerce.
  • Be a designer or developer, with a bachelor's degree.
  • Speak Portuguese.
