Job Description

The Security amp; Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring day-to-day customer systems are compliant with their own policies and procedures, and applicable regulations. Will need to perform routine audits to identify any deficiencies and work with various stakeholders to ensure corrective measures are taken in a timely manner. The position will audit networks, systems and applications for regulatory compliance. Will be responsible for managing timely completion of compliance-related functions and audits, and will prepare reports. Will address and resolve daily communications related to our customer compliance policies and procedures. The position will assist with audits, compliance research, and compliance training as needed. Will assist in services opportunity generation, technical scoping, and Statements of Work (SOW) writing.

Day to Day:

  • Plan and execute operational and compliance audit testing, risk assessments and/or Business Continuity exercises.
  • Document, maintain, and organize policies and procedures.
  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop and timely implement corrective action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Manage timely completion of various audit programs and ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare and provide monthly reports.
  • Manage and provide compliance training; assist with implementation of new policies and procedures.
  • Understand and perform effective presentation of implemented controls and collected evidence
  • Research compliance-related topics.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • Requirements

    • Possess a collaborative mindset, strong work ethic, high degree of motivation and the ability to contribute to a positive team attitude
    • Strong project management skills, and ability to manage and prioritize various tasks.
    • Able to edit documents, research new technologies, and maintain records/files
    • Demonstrate strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills; must be comfortable interacting with a variety of stakeholders as required.
    • Strong understanding of IT, secure cloud software, automation, and security compliance frameworks, standards, regulations and requirements. Familiarity with at least one information security regulation such as SOC 2, PCI-DSS, or HIPAA is a plus.
    • Experience with ITIL disciplines as Incident, Problem and Change Management. Previous exposure to incident response activities is a plus.
    • Participation in different security roles like Identity and Access Management (IAM), Network Security, Information Security Management, Risk Assessments, and/or Business Continuity.
    • Expertise proposing and applying Information Security Best Practices to Cloud-native architectures.
