Imagine yourself innovating in dynamic and challenging projects, being responsible for:

Talent acquisition and Talent development

  • Communicating with candidates throughout the recruitment process that creates a positive first impression and excellent brand engagement throughout the initial interactions.
  • Review and write job descriptions for new roles and update existing roles
  • Create adverts and post on the relevant job-sites
  • Write interview questions for line managers in line with Doji competencies
  • Pre-screen candidates and shortlist for the hiring manager
  • Regret candidates where applicable
  • Ensure salary is on budget and approved/checked with business and candidates
  • Make offers of employment
  • Conduct exit interviews and feedback analysis
  • Monitor probation dates and obtain feedback
  • Work with managers to outline employee probation objectives
  • Analyse pay scales and salary surveys

Onboarding

  • Welcoming new employees and ensure they are given the best possible chance for success during their probationary period
  • Create an onboarding plan for each new employee
  • Send out contracts of employment prior to commencement date
  • Be a point of contact for new starters as required
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is obtained to set up a new employee
  • Check right to work requirements passport, ID etc
  • Conduct reference checks

Payroll

  • Ensure the monthly payroll is paid according to any changes throughout the month.
  • Update our Accounting firm with new starters/leavers
  • Monitor sickness days and payments and inform payroll
  • Communicate any salary changes with the relevant person

HR People, Policies and Procedures

  • Ensure that relevant policies and procedures are in place and compliant with legislation
  • Develop and maintain a full suite of policies on the knowledge base system
  • Keep updated with employment law and implement changes as necessary
  • Maintain team member records according to policy, GDPR and other legal requirements
  • Monitor key metrics, like turnover and retention rates, attendance/absence
  • Where necessary, run investigations, including grievance and disciplinary
  • Support employees to drive their objectives in relation to business objectives
  • Suggest new HR technology solutions to improve day-to-day operations
  • Maintain the HR system (HiBob) including holidays and sickness
  • Write change of details letters to employees and ensure signed copies are received on file
  • Maintain the HR filing system

Culture and Engagement

  • Organise internal culture and values ethos, as well as systems for embedding them
  • Conduct internal surveys to gather employee feedback and identify areas of improvement
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Manage and analyse the performance review process
  • Identify team member developmental needs across the business and create solutions
  • Be an ambassador for the Doji culture
  • Provide regular updates and communications throughout the business
  • Explore new incentives and ideas to engage the team
  • Monitor benefit trends and make recommendations

Requirements

  • 5 years + HR experience
  • Experience of working with small to medium sized businesses
  • Experience within a start-up environment or growing business environment is advantageous.
  • Technologically adept and business acumen focused with outstanding communication both written and oral, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work individually and on a collaborative team in a fast paced and continuously evolving environment
