Ignitia has a small team of dedicated scientists, developers and meteorologists that now wish to expand with a Digital Marketing Executive whose main focus will be to support the Head of B2C in expanding online presence across the regions we operate in.

The company

Ignitia is an entrepreneur-led business that offers critical decision support in West Africa and Brazil. Based on several years of development and market traction, our science-based innovation is designed for the agriculture sector. We have developed a weather forecasting model for the tropics that is twice as accurate as existing models, allowing us to provide critical weather data and forecasts to farmers and agribusinesses through SMS and mobile app. Using our forecasts, small-scale farmers have the ability to double yields and incomes, reducing food insecurity and poverty for some of the poorest in the world.

Our B2C business model is based on mobile subscription (value-added service), through the partnerships that we have with the local MNOs. Our customers can be acquired through bulk SMS or other types of notifications provided by the MNO, but also, we have the ability to communicate and acquire through online channels. The position

Ignitia AB has a vacancy for a full-time Digital Marketing Executive to support the Head of B2C in expanding online presence, with a strong background in customer acquisition (Google ADs, DSP, etc) to join our team. In this role, you will own your markets and be responsible for growing the sales and optimising the campaigns.

Main duties will include:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of digital campaigns including integration, setup, tracking, monitoring, optimization, evaluation and analysis based on major KPIs (CTR, CPA, CPC, CPL, conversion rate, session length, bounce rate, etc.);
  • Formulate and manage the implementation of new strategies to enhance the efficiency and scale-up campaigns;
  • Brainstorm, review and own processes around conversion and quality score optimization, landing pages and A/B testing opportunities;
  • Work on the ideation and development of promotional campaigns to boost sales;
  • Guide and coordinate to establish best-in-class Programmatic Media;
  • Identify and recruit new digital agencies;
  • Review competitors’ advertising strategies and tactics in order to benchmark marketing activity on an ongoing basis;

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Management or Economy)
  • Minimum +3 years of experience in Mobile affiliation and/or programmatic ecosystem,
  • Good knowledge with the main biddable platforms, particularly Google Adwords, Facebook and others DSP
  • Ability to manage and lead agency’s and 3rd parties.
  • Experience in VAS market for West Africa and Brazil
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills and the ability to translate statistics into insights and actions
  • Excellent command of the English language (Portuguese and French a plus)
