  • Making sure that the appropriate parameters are added to the navigation software and the software of the hydroacoustic system.
  • Operating and performing maintenance of all Survey equipment on board the ship.
  • Collecting and filing the data of Survey with quality and organization.
  • Preparing and keeping updated the interconnection schemes of cables which are to be submitted to the Survey Coordinator for prior assessment.
  • Depending on the task to be performed, coordinating operations between ROV, ship and other units around.
  • Preparing, organizing and maintaining all documentation and reports relevant to the daily operations.
  • Staying organized and tidy his or her workplace or any other location on the ship storing materials and Survey equipment.
  • Being familiar with the technical requirements of each operation, seeking to reduce risk of accidents / incidents and personal materials in performing them.
  • Ensuring that all equipment is packed and safely in its compartments or storage sites.
  • Ensuring that the inventory of equipment, spare parts and consumables on board is regularly checked, thus ensuring that nothing shall not be lacking for carrying out operations.
  • Contributing to the implementation of continuous improvement in the system.
  • Preparing, revising and updating procedures of the DSB together with the department Coordinator.
  • Implementing the internal procedures of the DSB and the customer (when relevant) in its work environment.
  • Ensuring that all Survey equipment is calibrated and/or within the validation period stipulated by the manufacturer as well as the relevant calibration procedures are available for consultation on board.
  • Ensuring that only copies of the Survey equipment calibration certificate are on board, and the original copy has to be sent to the base.
  • Requesting from the base copy of the certificate on board equipment calibration do not have it and archive it in an organized manner on board.
  • Always being available to answer customer’s requests and its superiors on board.
  • Developing teamwork, maintaining a good communication with all Survey/ROV team members, ship and Customer.
  • Being familiar with capacity and operating limits of the ship and vehicle(s), working with security and protection of the system integrity.
  • Ensuring that the data collected are in accordance with the standards of the company and relevant procedures through its real-time monitoring.
  • Obtaining the approval of superior on board its Department Coordinator before making any changes in the Survey system and that it is properly documented.
  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and ensuring that all are in very good condition, as well as keeping up to date the maintenance history of the onboard equipment and reports of preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Working together with the ROV and other sectors on board, assisting in maintenance related to the Survey equipment installed.
  • Making sure that all the equipment on board is properly identified when operational, landing (scrap, onshore repair, recalibration .) or waiting for parts to repair the board.
  • Participating in the planning and execution of mobilization and demobilization, making sure that the equipment to be used is in compliance with the contractual requirements, technical and safety standards required and copies of certificates are included and shall be filed on board.
  • Maintaining and operating computer network systems (file sharing/data transfer).
  • Being familiar with and maintaining the image distribution systems (ROV / Navipac / Sonar / HIPAP / Video Link).
  • Following along with the Survey Coordinator the request for outstanding materials and making sure that the inventory of spare parts and consumables on board are updated.
  • Training and providing all necessary support to professional development OF TRAINEE SURVEYOR TRAINEE, when necessary, everything related to his or her duties on board.
  • Performing risk analysis for tasks on board.
  • Using all safety equipment, PPE, necessary for Survey activities and ensuring they are available and in good condition and ensuring the correct use of them on board or in loading/unloading areas according to HSEQ procedures and customer.
  • Reporting and following defects, damaged equipment, safety meetings
