IntelliSense.io has an opportunity for a talented Software Integration Engineer to take full ownership of the automation and integration of our internal workflows within Google Suite and other software tools, as well as work on the integration with our customers databases. In order to deliver the operational automation we seek, you will have a combination of software engineering, data integration and UI skills, and have experience of delivering internal IT change projects.

IntelliSense.io’s headquarters are in Cambridge, UK, with a software engineering centre in Barcelona, Spain, and field offices in Chile, Kazakhstan, and Australia.

What you will contribute to

Internally, this role aims the development towards integration of our suite of tools, mainly Google Apps, to automate our processes workflow. This includes the automation of approval processes using Google Apps Script and APIs, to integrate with external applications. The role will also require skills to build basic dashboards and their automation.

Externally, you'll interact with our customers and provide them with the best in class solutions for data integration, creation and maintenance of data pipelines to support our applications. You'll also interact with our customers technical team to understand their needs and propose solutions.

Your day-to-day could look like this

• Map out our operational architecture (G-Suite plus functional applications for Sales, Finance, Project Management, Product Management and Product Development);
• Integrate and automate our internal operational applications through development and management of API or other connectors;
• Design workflows to improve integration and implement the changes necessary to make them happen;
• Support and maintain the workflows and the respective documentation;
• Manage new tools and new capacity requirements within the company as we scale (this may include data migration, IT change management);
• Communicate across the company to identify demands and propose sound solutions, working with key stakeholders from across different functions;
• Working with the CTO and CFO, develop a culture of data driven decisions using metrics and developing dashboards to illustrate Company performance;
• Ingest, transform and blend/integrate structured and unstructured data and deliver the data to our platform back-end;
• Transform data from varying sources into cohesive meaningful data with quality, governance and compliance considerations to and IntelliSense standard;
• Transform and clean the data as it is being extracted from various data sources and loaded into the IntelliSense.io data shed;
• Optimize data integration platform to provide optimal performance under increasing data volumes;
• Develop quality standards to ensure data quality and integrity across various database systems;
• Develop data integration standard and best practices.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be able to:

• Develop a deep understanding of how our business operates, our operational tech stack and our key performance drivers;
• Manage internal IT projects and be an expert in workflow automation;
• Understand our customer needs, manage their expectations and translate them into robust and clean code;
• Create the best possible integrated solutions;
• You will be a self starter but know when and how to engage stakeholders to ensure a team effort;
• Interested in building resilient software; write clean, maintainable code and love working on interesting problems.

Minimum technical Knowledge:

- Experience on the integration of applications and workflow automation;

- Java, Javascript

- Knowledge on Google Apps Script and APIs.

- Experience with the following would be a huge bonus:

- Node.js, Plottable.js and/or D3.js;

- Basic experience in front-end engineering;

- Knowledge of Jira as an Agile development tool.
