Job Description

Partners in Performance is a global management consulting firm with a focus on human performance and working alongside client partners to make change happen. We’ve got offices in Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, Africa, North and South America, the Middle East, Russia and the UK and Europe but prefer to spend as little time in them as possible. Instead, we work closely with our clients to deliver the big, rapid, sustainable results you hardly ever achieve by sitting in a boardroom. 

As an Associate Principal, you are the front-line change agent for the client’s business. You have overall responsibility for delivering measurable improvements across the client site, for managing blended Partners in Performance and client teams across improvement areas to achieve targeted results, and for building relationships with the site’s senior leadership team. You role model the activities required to ensure the client achieves enduring impact and you coach your team, the client Business Improvement Manager and site senior leadership to do the same.

You lead the problem-solving effort and ensure opportunities are rigorously prioritized to ensure the team’s effort is always aligned against the highest-value tasks. You help senior leaders drive rapid and sustainable implementation, coaching them to embed continuous improvement into the way they do business.

You kick off the following activities with your team, demonstrating how they’re done and then increasingly coach clients to do it for themselves. The activities are:

- Prepare Driver Trees to identify key improvement levers and focus areas.
- Prioritize effort, according to value and ease of implementation.
- Facilitate baseline identification and agree targets with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage aggressive implementation plans to achieve rapid results.
- Regularly review progress of ideas with Principals and Implementation Facilitators and quickly escalate issues to ensure they’re addressed before they compromise results delivery.

In parallel, you ensure the sustainability of improvements you deliver by coaching the site senior leadership team to implement the wiring to ensure the new processes and behaviors become the path of least resistance. For example, you help them to select the right, site-wide Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and set the right targets. You also set up and run regular meetings to review results and agree required actions to keep improvements on track.

Associate Principals will generally have at least five years work experience with a top-tier management consulting firm in leadership roles.
