The overall purpose of the role:
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Extracting data from various sources for ingestion into Big Data platforms, Relational and Non-Relational Databases.
- Ensuring data is appropriate, accessible, and available to support data-driven decision-making.
- Aligning operational data with the required and desirable data models.
- Optimizing data performance and scalability for efficient processing.
- Implementing methods to improve data reliability and quality.
- Combining raw information from different sources to create consistent and machine-readable formats.
- Developing and testing architectures that enable data extraction and transformation for predictive or prescriptive modeling.
- Identifying opportunities for data acquisition.
- Developing analytical tools and programs.
- Fostering a Data-Driven Decision culture by collaborating with technical teams and various business units.
- Conducting advanced data analysis to generate valuable insights.
- Providing data availability for Data Scientists and Data Analysts.
- Collaborating closely with software development teams, working directly with data extracted from source systems.
- Supporting the definition of the most appropriate architectural solutions for automation projects, considering company best practices and available technologies.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering, or related fields.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in data visualization and exploration tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SAS, Data Studio, Qlik).
- Experience with end-to-end data pipeline implementation, including Data Quality and Data Lineage stages.
- Technical knowledge of data structures (Relational Databases, Non-Relational Databases, and Big Data).
- Proficiency in Database Management, Data Mining, and Data Modeling.
- Knowledge of data solutions in Cloud environments (GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Shell Script, Python, Scala, Java, etc.
- Experience in advanced data analysis methodologies.
- Familiarity with lean/agile development methodologies.
- Preferred: Specializations in BI, Analytics, Cloud Computing, Big Data, and Advanced Data Analysis.
Seniority Level: Senior or above.
Skills: SQL and Python
Personal Attributes: Proactive and self-driven with the ability to work independently.
Preferred locations: Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo.
