Job Description

  • Ensure that the BWE process of regulatory compliance assessment and monitoring is in place.
  • Ensure that all operational-related contractors and BWE operations in Brazil are recurrently assessed and monitored regarding regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that all activities, for which is under this one responsible, are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements and the BW Energy Management System. In particular safety of personnel, environment and equipment shall be taken care of.
  • Perform internal and external audits and inspections to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, mainly NRs, ISO, SGSO, SGSS, SGIP, MLC and ISM.
  • Supporting supply chain while defining the scope of work of regulatory audit/inspections contracts needed.
  • Supporting other BWE departments on queries regarding regulatory requirements.
  • Define and recurrently measure KPIs for the Regulatory and Institutional Affairs Department
  • Identify the potential non-compliance with the regulatory requirements through surveys and issue associated punch lists and work together with vessel team to proper design improvement actions.
  • Support proper set up for systems or tools used to control regulatory requirements.
  • Assess evidence for closing improvement actions or to register compliance evidence ensuring that it proper addresses regulatory requirements and Authorities expectations.
  • Flag to the Regulatory and Institutional Affairs Manager always when a potential critical non-conformance is identified.
  • Support all other regulatory-related activities as per required.

Requirements

Education

  • Engineering background;
Experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of practical experience in Oil amp; Gas environment.
  • Ideally 5 years previous offshore-related experience.
Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to function independently and in a team.
  • Good interpersonal skills as well as good judgement.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in Portuguese and English.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
Knowledge
  • Good understanding and knowledge of FPSO Maintenance systems
  • Familiar with engineering/industry standards such as API, ASME, ASTM, NACE, etc.
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese (oral and written).
