Job Description
As an DBA Technical Lead at RecargaPay, you will be responsible for leading an DBA team, which combines software and systems engineering disciplines to maintain high-performance databases, ensuring the security, consistency, durability, scalability and greater resource efficiency. In this position you will be also deeply involved in the software development process, proposing with the team the best practices and improvements required to reach the best results, thus demanding good leadership, management and negotiation skills with our technical teams. Finally, you'll employ your hands-on experience to optimize and improve databases, platforms and stacks.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership of DBA team, providing guidance and mentorship to team members;
- Organize and plan improvements related to the database administration, such as security, capacity planning and performance, as well the project evolution;
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and LGPD;
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to seamless integration between platform and databases;
- Monitor and track indicators of performance, capacity and costs of cloud resources and platforms;
- Manage database backups/recovery procedures and maintain disaster recovery plans;
- Contribute with our entire culture of agile development and continuous software delivery in mind;
- Develop and maintain documentation on database design, configuration, and operations.
Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
- Extensive knowledge of database technologies (SQL/NoSQL), including PostgreSQL, Oracle, ElasticSearch, including database design and architecture principles.
- Detailed technical knowledge of cloud computing AWS, its standards and best practices for keeping services up and running.
- Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms.
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with internet web and mobile related technologies (Web applications, Mobile applications, API Oriented Architectures) and of network related protocols.
- English or Spanish is a plus.
